![]() ![]() So she will be collecting as many creatures as she can. She started off by saying she has a collectors mentality. really should have been available right from the start, but whatever. i was killing myself trying to micro their defense before then. This isnt unlocked until a bossfight a little while after you get party members. Difficult battles are way easier when more than just you defend appropriately. Hitting Square will make everyone defend (if they've finished their current attack sequence) and hitting Triangle will make everyone go all out attacking instead of healing or whatever. I don't know if Square and Triangle are unlocked from the beginning in battles. It is not universally horrible or universally intelligent, it is just a roll of the dice on which one you see most often. It would seem, judging by the widely different accounts, the AI is largely a crap shoot. Nope, considering that for a while her melee familiar was, in fact, Bonehead, and she switched to it often. Then I figured out what those preferences meant. I had her using Bonehead for awhile when I first got it, and she would never switch to it. If nothing else she usually just keeps her tank out.Īre her familiars all preferred types? They tend to ignore them if the genus doesn't match up. She is generally very good at switching to the proper familiar: needs healing/physical attacks not working she has always switched to her original, getting beaten she's always switched to her tank, to pump out damage she has always switched to her damage dealer. I have her set on "Do What You Want" and she doesn't do anything you just said (save for not defending) in my game. They almost never change familiar, even when the one they were just using is on cooldown, she'll just switch to herself instead of another familiar she won't defend so even if the boss is about to do a giant fuck off attack she'll die I have a familiar in the first slot but for some reason she always switches to the familiar that she came with as soon as the battle starts and never goes back or uses anyone else None of the tactics seem to make much difference. Use Oliver's Fireball and Defend when the boss winds up one of his attacks (Windfall and Bellow). What tactics should I use for Esther? She seems to like getting herself killed. Level 4 or 5 on Normal is a good level to battle the boss. Grind and go through the track between the first save stone and second (which is right before the boss). However, without any equipment, the Mite is pretty useless at the moment compared to Oliver's spells.Īfter the familiar tutorial, continue going into the dungeon with your new powers. Once you do, more goodies get unlocked, like the Healing Touch spell and Fireball spell. You can name it (the familiar is called a Mite). This spell creates a robot drone (made of magic) that fights along side Oliver so you won't be so overwhelmed. ![]() Drippy leads you to an event that unlocks the Form Familiar spell. Mark the Waypoint Stone, which is the dungeon version of the save point, and acts as your exit fast-travel/warp. Like a traditional JRPG, you can't save in dungeons, so save in the overworld and enter. ![]()
